Our Employee profile this month is Andrew Deller (Market Researcher). Please see below to get know a bit more about him.
- Why you started working with Primary Care People?
I started working with Primary Care People after I was unfortunately made redundant from my last job as a PGA Assistant Golf Professional at St Neots Golf Club and needed to seek employment elsewhere. I wanted to find a job closer to home that allowed me to become financially secure. I liked the idea of beginning a career in a different industry to develop my skills that can be used within work and generally in life and to enjoy a different challenge outside the sporting environment.
- What you enjoy most about working here?
Since I have been here, I have enjoyed the training and the variety of modules that I have been taught that all relate to becoming a consultant. It has been interesting learning new skills that I can utilise now that I am working on live roles helping GP’s and nurses find work. My colleagues have made it very easy to settle in and are always willing to help out.
- What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I play and watch a lot of sport. I have been into football, golf and badminton from a young age and enjoy playing as much as I can. I also enjoy going to the cinema, watching live music, going to comedy gigs and socialising with my friends.
- What is your favourite food?
My favourite food would have to be a Nando’s. I tend to have one or two a week! Other favourite cuisines include Italian, Indian and a good old Sunday Roast. Lindt chocolate also goes down a treat!
- What is your best achievement?
My best achievement would have to be when I qualified to become a PGA Professional and graduated going through a 3 year degree course along with playing ability tests and coaching exams.
- Best advice anyone has given you?
Being a sports fan and competitor, I think the advice ‘never give up’ has always rung true for me. The number of times great comebacks have occurred shows anything can happen however unlikely.
